A Little Background on Sailing Singles
Sailing Singles was founded in 1980 to provide single adults with educational activities to develop sailing skills, water safety, and to sponsor social activities for our membership.
We are a not-for-profit organization that helps single boat owners find interested single crew members to sail with them in an informal social setting. We have a monthly informational and social meeting, including a DJ and dancing, on the second friday of each month. Click on the Event Calendar for the details.
Throughout the boating season our boat owning members sail with a crew of other members to rendezvous at various local yacht/boat clubs and marinas. In addition to rendezvous, Sailing Singles has Moonlight Sails held at local yacht/boat clubs and marinas, these are open to any interested single person. These are held close to the summer full moons. The dates will be advertised on our Event Calendar and at our meetings.
Sailing Singles has cruised to the British Virgin Island, Maine Coast, Greek Islands, and the Inter-coastal Waterway, extended sails to the North Channel, Put-In-Bay and other Great Lake destinations.
In addition to our meetings our members and guests join together for dinners and happy hours. Through the year we have many other social activities such as concerts, plays, museum tours, and other parties. These are listed on the Event Calendar and announced at our meetings.
We hope to see you at a future meeting or other gathering, please click through our website and feel free to Contact Us for more information.
